About Dan Nance

As past CEO of 2 of the top 10 U.S. multicultural marketing agencies, Dan spent 20+ years advising senior leaders at America’s top companies on how to understand, respect, connect, and INVEST IN their external diverse constituencies (Black, Hispanic, Asian, and LGBT consumers).

While these multicultural marketing efforts typically became the highest performing sectors of clients’ entire U.S. business portfolio, Dan observed that these same companies were using few to none of their successful external strategies to recruit, retain, engage, and promote their INTERNAL diverse leaders, leading to a diversity gap in leadership that lagged 10-20 years behind their successful external diversity marketing programs.

During his many years advising F500 companies on diversity marketing issues, Dan gained valuable insights into the many reasons why senior White leaders deprioritize minority/diverse efforts and he had access/privilege to the many “backstage conversations” driving these decisions and learned how to successfully overcome them.

Dan’s unique combination of international CEO experience and credibility; his privilege insights regarding “backstage conversations” about race; his career dedicated to celebrating racial/cultural diversity in the U.S. at 2 top 10 firms.; and his professional psychology/marketing/coaching expertise regarding identifying beliefs to change behavior; earned him the moniker “White Man Whisperer™” from Chief Diversity Officers, DEI teams, and C-Suite leaders for his ability to bridge the inevitable DEI gaps in organizations and get traction and momentum.
